Interessant finde ich die Statements zu Möglichkeiten die Digitaltechnik und Midi anbieten (v.a. weil das Interview Anfang der 80er gemacht wurde).

In 2006 Alfred Schönfelder invented a music instrument by combining his passions: boxing and music.
He built the instrument with the help of Dominic Hemmer (FH Köln).

The dance chimes connect movement with sound experience.
Nine bronze tiles, equipped with mechanical sound elements are
placed in a square casing. The sound elements below the tiles are being activated through the energy of movement.
